Data Our Shopify Apps Access

When you install a Promofy app, Shopify gives the app access only to the store data it needs, based on the permissions you approve. Depending on the app, this can include your shop name and email, theme information, products, inventory, discounts and orders. We use this data only to provide the app's features.

We support Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. When you uninstall an app, we delete your shop data within 48 hours of Shopify's shop redaction request, and we respond to customer data and redaction requests forwarded by Shopify.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information: When you sign up for our services, fill out a contact form, or communicate with us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, billing address, and payment details.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about your device, browser type, IP address, pages visited, referring URLs, and the date/time of your visit.

Cookies & Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 4) to enhance your experience and gather analytics data.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with trusted third-party service providers solely to help us operate our business:

• Supabase: database hosting and authentication
• Google Analytics (GA4): website traffic analysis and advertising measurement (see Section 4)
• Formspree: contact form submissions
• Google reCAPTCHA: spam and bot protection
• Payment processors for billing and invoicing

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it to perform services on our behalf.

4. Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses the following technologies:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4): measures how visitors find and use our site, such as pages viewed, buttons clicked, device and approximate location.
• Google Tag Manager (GTM): manages analytics and marketing tags.
• Google reCAPTCHA: protects forms from spam; may set cookies and collect device data.

Google advertising features

We have enabled the following Google Analytics features, which are only active if you accept cookies:

• Google signals: Google may associate visit data from our site with information from Google accounts of signed-in users who have agreed to this in their Google account settings. This helps us see aggregated, cross-device reports and audience demographics. We never receive information that identifies you personally from this feature.
• Ads personalisation: aggregated audiences and conversion data from Google Analytics may be shared with our linked Google Ads account to measure and improve our advertising.
• User-provided data collection: if you submit a form (for example contact or free audit), your email address or phone number may be hashed (converted into an unreadable code) and sent to Google to improve conversion measurement. Google does not receive the readable value.

Your choices

• Analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you click "Decline", Google tags run in a restricted mode that sets no analytics or advertising cookies. To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again.
• Control how Google uses your data for ads at Google Ads Settings, and view or delete activity linked to your Google account at My Activity.
• Opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encryption, secure server infrastructure, and access controls to protect your personal data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
